Former UW-Eau Claire men's basketball coach Terry Gibbons, who guided the Blugolds for 19 seasons, including runnerup National champions, has joined the Wisconsin Blizzard and will be coachng u12 and u16 girls teams out of the Eau Claire area. The cost for the u16 will be $1,000.00 per player while the u12 will be $700. Aside from the typical 2 clinics, 12 practices, uniforms, insurance,  tournament entry fees, website privileges, and college recruiting programs, Gibbons' teams will receive 6 extra practices and 8 2-hour camps where the girls will work on fundamentals and skills.
